INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

OVERVIEW

At Our Lady of Charity School, we take pride in providing high-quality education to students with varying abilities. Those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs or ISPs) or 504 Plans from public schools, as well as students diagnosed through private evaluations, receive support services through our Individualized Service Plan (Student Support Plan).

PHILOSOPHY

The Inclusion Team at Our Lady of Charity School is dedicated to fostering student success by sharing knowledge and implementing best practices to offer support and tailored learning experiences within the general education classroom. Our team is united in leadership and purpose, ensuring that every member of our school community can thrive academically, spiritually, and personally, all while being treated with dignity and respect.

EVALUATION PROCESS

An Individualized Service Plan (Student Support Plan) is developed for students diagnosed with disabilities that hinder their ability to demonstrate understanding of academic and social-emotional skills at the same level as their peers. This diagnosis must be based on a determination made by the local education agency (LEA).
